PARK TUDOR LE + DIANA BUSH-HARRIS = DIVERSITY IN ACTION!
What do Diana Bush-Harris and Park Tudor have in common? A cause; and that cause is diversity.
On Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 9:45 a.m., nationally recognized singer, songwriter, and recording artist, Diana Bush-Harris will appear in an “all school” assembly at Park Tudor’s Lower Elementary School to support and endorse their message of diversity.
The all school assembly will include 3 to 4 songs by Bush-Harris, written, composed, and performed, yet “tailor-made” especially for Park Tudor, celebrating diversity, including a song inspired by Lower School Director, Dr. Jeffrey Mitchell, entitled “One Earth”. Bush-Harris will also perform a catchy chant high-lighting the spelling of the school’s name. In the spring of 2007, Diana began expanding her “music with life lessons” message to include young children and adults by developing a program designed to diffuse anxiety associated with testing, entitled “Born to Succeed”. The program includes a song and DVD presentation, complete with reinforcement activities that have proven to increase academic interest, motivation and success. This time she shows her versatile style teaching diversity through song with life experiences. Bush-Harris will also speak inspirationally to the children.
“A lot of people say they believe in diversity, but taking action to prove it is entirely another matter”, says Bush-Harris. “I believe this assembly says a lot about Park Tudor’s educational convictions, as well as Dr. Mitchell and the staff. I’m proud to be a part of their message.”
Diana Bush-Harris’ music ability has been nationally recognized as a “a gift that brings joy”, “music that will fit any” special occasion and has received “honorable mention” for “Song of the Year 2004” standing up to such critiques as “Sheila E”, formerly of Prince and Norah Jones.
